Little Learners Childhood Connections, originally established as Clay County Child Care Center, Inc. in 1972, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality early childhood education through Head Start programs.
Our funding comes primarily from federal and state grants and community contributions, allowing us to continue our mission of supporting local families. We operate on a fiscal year from July 1st through June 30th, with all financial reports prepared in line with standard accounting practices.
Since we receive federal grant support, we undergo an annual independent audit to ensure full compliance with both Government Auditing Standards and OMB guidelines for nonprofits. This ensures that we maintain the highest level of financial transparency and accountability.
