OTTAWA COUNTY – CLASSROOM CENTER AIDE

Location: Ottawa County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position

Supervised by: Health-Nutrition Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function: Supports classroom operations, child supervision, meal service, and daily center activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma /GED or working towards) & obtain CDA within first year.

 

CLAY COUNTY – EHS CLASSROOM CENTER AIDE

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 12-month position

Supervised by: Early Head Start Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function: Supports classroom operations, child supervision, meal service, and daily center activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma /GED or working towards) & obtain CDA within first year.

 

CLAY COUNTY LIFE CENTER – EHS SITE DIRECTOR/LEAD TEACHER

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 12-month position

Supervised by: Program Director

Essential Function: Provide overall leadership and management of the assigned site, including
coaching, mentoring, supervising, and training classroom staff. Oversee both short-term and long-range planning for service delivery and staff development, while ensuring effective integration of program components such as education, health, and nutrition. Serve as a liaison between leadership,
staff, families, and community partners.
Support and participate in classroom operations by fostering the development of the whole child, building strong partnerships with parents, and engaging families in the learning process. Provide
oversight and guidance to Teacher Assistants, Center Aides and parent volunteers to ensure highquality classroom experiences.
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children, staff, and families. Communicate
effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Adhere to assigned work schedules, maintain
consistent attendance, and perform all duties in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Demonstrate a
positive attitude and actively participate in all program activities.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Infant/Toddler or Preschool) or equivalent
coursework/experience as required by Head Start standards.
Experience working with young children (Head Start, Early Head Start, or licensed childcare
preferred).
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Experience working in a KDHE licensed facility preferred

 

CLAY COUNTY – EHS FAMILY SERVICE WORKER

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 12-month position

Supervised by: Early Head Start Coordinator 

Essential Function: General responsibility for family support services including implementing, coordinating and providing direct case management services to Head Start families at assigned site. 

Minimum Qualifications: GED or high school diploma required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred. 

 

 

CLAY COUNTY – CENTER AIDE FLOAT

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position

Supervised by: Early Head Start Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function: Supports classroom operations, child supervision, meal service, and daily center activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma /GED or working towards) & obtain CDA within first year.

 

CLOUD COUNTY – SITE DIRECTOR

Location: Cloud County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position (reduced hours in summer)

Supervised by: Program Director 

Essential Function: Provides leadership and coordination of site operations while supporting staff, families, and community partnerships. Oversees education, health, nutrition, and transportation components, while delivering family support services, case management, and engagement activities to ensure high-quality Head Start services. 

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred. Relevant experience (2-5) years in social work, case management, or working with families, with 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred. Must obtain the required credential/certification within 18 months.

CLOUD COUNTY – TEACHER ASSISTANT

Location: Cloud County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position 

Supervised by: Education – Transition Coordinator and Site Director 

Essential Function: Supports classroom operations by assisting in the education and development of young children, with a focus on the whole child. Helps maintain a safe, clean, and engaging lerning environment while building positive relationships with children and families nd supporting daily classroom activities. 

Minimum Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential required (or enrolled to obtain within two years). Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. 

CLOUD COUNTY – CLASSROOM CENTER AIDE

Location: Cloud County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position

Supervised by: Health-Nutrition Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function: Supports classroom operations, child supervision, meal service, and daily center activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.

CLOUD COUNTY – BUS DRIVER

Location: Cloud County

Schedule: 16 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position

Supervised by: Transportation-Facilities Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function:  Provides safe and reliable transportation for Head Start Children, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off while maintaining a secure environment. Supports communication between families and program staff and collaborates with team members to promote children’s health, safety, and well-being. 

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma /GED or working towards). Experience working with young children preferred. Must obtain CDL within 90 days of hire. 

 

CLAY COUNTY LIFE CENTER – EHS CLASSROOM TEACHER

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 12-month position

Supervised by: Early Head Start Coordinator & Site Director

Essential Function:

Teach children in the classroom with an emphasis on development of the whole child, to include partnership with parents and working with the entire family. Provide oversight to Teacher Assistants and parent volunteers. Ability to read, speak, and write with proficiency in English language. Provide and maintain a safe environment. Report to work at scheduled time, shift to be determined by supervisor. Maintain good attendance. Perform all duties in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Participate with a positive attitude and behavior in all program activities. 

Minimum Qualifications: Infant Toddler CDA – equivalent coursework or otherwise meet the requirements of the Head Start Act. Experience with Infant and Toddler age children, previous Early Head Start or day care experience, preferred but not required. 

CLAY COUNTY – TEACHER ASSISTANT FLOAT

Location: Clay County

Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday), 9-month position

Supervised by: Education-Transition Coordinator and Site Director (Only at Clay County Site)

Licensing/Certification Requirements:  Current valid Kansas driver’s license. CDL desirable at time of hire, preferred within  approximately 90 days after hire.
